While the junior high that Miss Kuhrt attended did not have a National Junior Honor Society, she was very active in her high school National Honor Society. Miss Kuhrt was inducted into NHS her sophomore year of high school and served as the president of her chapter both during her junior and senior year. As president, Miss Kuhrt worked with the other members to make the NHS a respected organization in her school. They had monthly service projects, a display case, newsletters, and various meetings. The above picture highlights one of the boards that were on display during her senior honors night.
Miss Kuhrt served as advisor and co-advisor for three years for the Hanover-Horton National Honor Society. She has also served for many years on the Faculty Council of the HH NHS chapter. She is excited to be the NJHS advisor this year for this wonderful group of middle school students!
